I have a workbook with a number (20ish) power queries that look for data on several web sites. They can sometimes run for 5 min depending on the traffic. My users would like a dashboard so they can know the simple status, running/not running/complete (would be great). The reason, there are steps they do after that and the queries need to be completed first. I do know that using the run in Background as false can help the VBA but not the user!
Is there a way to get a return code from the query or put it in a loop that keeps looking for the query? Does Excel have anything that is able to see what is "running"?
Thanks!
Bruce
