Hey all,
I'm hoping the confusing title was intriguing enough for you to click here! I'm just barely starting to get into some of the automation/formula/function features of excel and was wondering if there's a formula or a function that can do the following:
I'm currently on a jury where I have to rank theatre productions throughout the season. Currently my table looks something like this:
What I'm wondering is if there is a formula or feature that allows me to input a ranking into that 5th row that will automatically adjust the existing ranks accordingly? i.e. If Play 5 is given a first place rank ("1") then Play 1 changes rank to second place ("2"), Play 2 changes rank to fourth place ("4") etc.
I'm trying to think it out logically, but I am by no means an expert (nor barely above beginner) when it comes to using Excel in this manner.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
djtronix
