forget my own password

dear all,

i made my excel file protected a year ago, and now i forgot the password, i tried to open the VBA to unlock it, but i can't open VBA page since it's from beginning asking me password. i use Excel 2016, please help me with another option, i tried not to use external software for this. thank you
