Using VLOOKUP to Search for Multiple Occurrences with same Lookup Value

    All,

Really appreciate your help. I've attached an example (below) for what I'm looking for. I have unique IDs for each person, but there are multiple rows for certain people who obviously will have the same ID. How do I get the lookup values in the VLOOKUP to match up with the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. occurrence. I think I might have to use an index/match function, but I don't really understand how they work. Thanks!

I've read that and a bunch of other forums, but for some reason, I can't translate it to my example. I think part of it is because they aren't using a full list to incorporate it into their list. They are just looking at one value to show the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd times it was shown.
