Really appreciate your help. I've attached an example (below) for what I'm looking for. I have unique IDs for each person, but there are multiple rows for certain people who obviously will have the same ID. How do I get the lookup values in the VLOOKUP to match up with the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. occurrence. I think I might have to use an index/match function, but I don't really understand how they work. Thanks!

I've read that and a bunch of other forums, but for some reason, I can't translate it to my example. I think part of it is because they aren't using a full list to incorporate it into their list. They are just looking at one value to show the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd times it was shown.
If you understand it, I'd really really appreciate your help in the example I posted!! Thank you so much
