Conditional formating rule

I am trying to use the formula to highlight field green

if($M$4=SUM($J$4:$K$4))

it read if m4= j4+k4

but keeps bringing up error

This =M4=SUM($J$4:$K$4) works for me if I understand what you are trying to do correctly.
