Cells Automatically update with the value of another Cell

Good afternoon,

I'm new to the site and would be hopeless if it weren't for your guys help.

Please see the details below for my query:

Cell D1 is linked to another worksheet which is automatically updated via a lookup table when a date is placed anywhere in col B.

If I were to place the date in B5, D1 would change to Lee's electronic signature. I would like the spreadsheet to be able to paste the value of D1 into the respective cell in col C. This would be repeated if any cell in Col B were to be updated.

I am hoping this makes sense and would welcome all help.

So I think your saying that you put a date in (say) B4, and Excel then displays a look-up in D1 (an electronic signature), and you also want to display this in C4 ?
Why can't you put the same formula into column C that you have in D1 (Or instead of) ?
