Hello, hope someone can help me out.
This is my problem: I want to use the date in the fourth row to look for the earliest time in the 2nd row given the date.
I can't seem to work it out, I've tried a variety if min-if formulas and index min match.
    Thanks!

date time start time end date start time
    12/1/16 8am 930am 12/1/16
    12/1/16 930am 2pm 12/2/16
    12/1/16 2:30pm 5pm 12/3/16
    12/2/16 8am 11am
    12/2/16 12pm 4pm
    12/3/16 7am 2pm
    12/3/16 2pm 3pm
    12/3/16 3pm 5pm

Attention! In the formulas as a delimiter I use a semicolon (; ) if you using my formula, then perhaps you need to use a comma (,)
Also for a decimal number I use a comma (,) you may need to use point (.) instead of

if the cell top left of your table which contains the header date is in cell A1, then in E2 array-enter (that's Ctrl+Shift+Enter, not just Enter) the formula:
    =MIN(IF($A$2:$A$9=D2,$B$2:$B$9))
then copy it down, you might get your answers.
