Dear MS excel users, I am facing an issue with my excel program, which is restricting me from entirely using the program. I use this application for most of my work and have created many worksheets filled with valuable company information that I need to evaluate from time to time. But since last day, I am not being able to open a single excel worksheet. Whenever I try to open a file, it shows a message, “The file is corrupt and cannot be open”.

This problem is giving me a hard time and I have tried many solutions including reinstalling the complete MS Office program, only to be encountered again with the same irritating message. Hence, I humbly ask for an effective solution to problem to get rid of this issue and recover those corrupted files as it involves valuable company data.

Seeing your different posts on different forums you seem to have many problems of different sorts with Excel. My guess is that you are consulted by your clients to solve their problems, and you post on different forums your clients' problems/questions you are unable to solve.

You are also clever enough not to cross-post to not draw attention on your doings.

When an Excel file is corrupted, then you can try several methods to recover it:
