Save data with each Date specified

Hi everyone,

I want to save data with specific dates and also wanted to
show data with date for every months and year as well in excel 2013?
Please help me.

Thanks for the link its very useful.
I did tried but not able to create such sheet.

Description:

I want to save my daily work-log in a excel sheet.
So that at every month end I will be able to get what I did whole month.
In that work-log it should only ask for a date and i will put all my today's work-log in it with
important highlights.
and review it after every month,mid-year and year end.
