Hi everyone, I was hoping to be able to get a little help on this. I am attempting to build a system for accounting purposes for our farm. My goal here is to have the blue portion on the General Journal tab populate from the blue portion on the Master Data tab. I would like to be able to just type the account number (yellow) on the General Journal tab and have the blue potion populate. Thanks in advance.

Try use VLOOKUP functon or INDEX/MATCH
    Code:
    =VLOOKUP($C2;Master Data!$A$2:$D$1000;COLUMN(B$1);FALSE)
Copy to right one column and copy down

Attention! In the formulas as a delimiter I use a semicolon (; ) if you using my formula, then perhaps you need to use a comma (,)

    Farm accounting software

    Hi,

Although it may be possible to do your accounting in Excel, I would really recommend you use farm specific accounting software.
It will be so much easier to use, and more powerful.

Take a look at FarmBooster at farmbooster .com

If you're interested, I'd be happy to give you a demo on how to use it.

    Regards

    clement
