    Hi all,

I want to find the lowest number in columns A & B, and return "A" or "B" to cell 1, then find the next smallest and return "A" or "B" to cell 2 and so on.

    A B 1 2 3 4 5
    {"A:46"},{"A:65"} {"B:31"},{"B:36"},{"B:165"} B B A A B
    {"B:15"},{"B:20"} B B
    {"A:68"},{"A:135"} A A

Only counting numbers >0 and not blank.

Any suggestions where to start or what to search the forum for?

Thanks in advance for any help this forum is great

Attention! In the formulas as a delimiter I use a semicolon (; ) if you using my formula, then perhaps you need to use a comma (,)
Also for a decimal number I use a comma (,) you may need to use point (.) instead of

Thank you both so much for the quick reply and help

I will look into those options but I'm a slow learner so will report back which one I use.

I have tried "text to columns" to split the numbers individually as I thought it would be more simple. How wrong I was...
    Thanks again
