    Hi all,

Lets say I have a list of 3000 items, and I would like to randomly pull 12 items from that list per day, that obviously are different. Is there a way of accomplising that? Or maybe I need to put in a button and assign a macro to it in VB.. I am trying to find a way to randomly select inventory items for a counting process since my MRP system cant and I have to work outside of it in excel.

    Any Ideas?

    Hi Hossat,

That works great! Out of curiosity, what does the F9 key do? Do i need to add the developer tab into my ribbon and explore that or is it just a function key? I have never seen it before, but this look slick. I cant thank you enough for the help.

    Hi,

F9 is a shortcut for the "Calculate now" button in the tab "Formulas".
    good luck
