Help with a formula

In Excel 2007 is there a formula that can do the following:
In cells A1 to A7 you have 1-7 but I want to return a single value to A8, eg

If A1 to A7 equals 1 return 1 to A8, but if A1 to A7 equals 2 return 2 to A8, but if A1 to A7 equals 3 return 3 to A8, but if A1 to A7 equals 4 return 4 to A8 and so on.

I am trying to create/add a formula that transforms a cell containing a name into email address. I wanted something smilar to Outlook when you are clicking on CTRL+K and from name it becomes email address. Let me know if you know how or if you need more details..
