    Dear All,

    Thank you in advance for looking into my post.

    I have an excel workbook with two worksheets: 2009 and FIRM LIST.

    Both of the worksheets have the same columns: Serial Number (A2), Firm Name (B2), Date (C2), and Amount (D2).

    2009 worksheet contains data for the 4 columns: Serial Number, Firm Name, Date, and Amount.

    FIRM LIST worksheet contains data for 2 columns only: Serial Number and Firm Name. The other columns: Date and Amount are currently blank.

    Now to the question, I would like to ask for your assistance in creating a formula:


    • If the value in Columns A (Serial Number) of both worksheets are EQUAL, then the EMPTY Date (C2) and Amount (D2) columns in FIRM LIST worksheet will be populated with the values found in 2009 worksheet's Date (C2) and Amount (D2) columns.


    I am dealing with almost 56,000 rows and it would really be great to have a formula to help me sort this out. The Serial Number found in Columns A of both worksheets are not in order.

    Should you need additional input(s), please do not hesitate to ask.
