Pivot table totals

I have data that comprises three columns. Dates, names and values. The names repeat many times in the list and I want to create a table that lists each name once, gives the number of times it occurs in the data list and also gives the total of the values against each name. I have looked at the Pivot table wizard but I cannot see how to get the total of the values. Where do I start?

In your pivot, drag Name to the Values pane in addition to the Rows pane.
