simple SUMIF function not working?

Here's what I want to do: SUMIF(A:A,"400-500-01",H:H)

column A is formatted as general text
column H is formatted as currency.

What is it not adding? See attached..

Hi Brenda,
Formula is correct. My guess is there are spaces or or other non printed characters in column A. Try in a new column = Trim(A2) and see if that helps. Otherwise I would check for text and other strange items in col H.
