I only need to filter 2 coloums on my excell spread sheet how can i get coloum a to not filter.
 
Just select the columns to filter and apply the filter.
 
Just thought, you might mean you only want to hide the filtered cells in some columns and not the cells in other columns. If so, can't be done, filter filters the whole row.
