    Hi,
Sorry to use this thread but I am new and need to ask a simple Excel question.
I have Excel 2007 but have a file of 1 million lines. When I open the file it only shows the 65500 lines as per the older versions.
How do I get Excel 2007 to show all 1 million lines?
    Thanks,
    Merlin

It sounds as though you are actually opening an .xls file rather than a file in the new formats (.xlsx, .xlsb or .xlsm), or you have just saved an .xls into the new format but haven't re-opened it. If this is the case, you should see the phrase "compatibility mode" in the application title bar.

    Hi,
I downloaded the file with the xlsx format but as I have an old version of Excel which could not display 1 million lines, did I lose the data when I saved it to xls format?
    regards,
    Merlin.
