Hello all,

Not sure if this is in the correct part of the forum but here goes.

I am in dire need of some expert assistance as my limited knowledge of Excel has me completely stumped.

I have attached a small spreadsheet (just a snippet of the amount of data i actually have to process) that demonstrates the current format and required format.

there are a set number of columne headings and they are
Companies
Ind / Edu Qualifications
IndustryTechnology
Positions
Programming Langs
International Regions
UK Regions
Sector / Vertical Mkt
Product / Search
Languages

If anyone can help me in trying to organize my data I would be hugely grateful.

many thanks

Hello Arvon
If I understand correctly, your wanting a cross tabulation, that shows by candidate ID, the Skill Categories in columns with all the data in C2:C999 shown in its correct Skill Category ?
So ...... My cross tab starts at B1006. I started by building two unique lists of the candidate IDs and the Skill Categories to provide the row and column headings. This is straightforward using the Advanced Filter.
I added a helper column (A) to concatenate the Candidate ID and the Skill Category, to simplify the matching process.
Here is my formula for the transposition, which goes in C1007, and needs copying down and across :
=IFERROR(INDEX($D$2:$D$999,MATCH($B1007&C$1006, $A$2:$A$999,0)), "")

Don't forget to update the details on the other website mentioned by Roy.
