i need to be able to add up figures that were entered in a certain month and cant figure out the formula to do this.
my sheet is set up like this:
Sheet1
Column A Col B
Date Amount
12/4/13 £45
15/4/13 £60
27/4/13 £150
2/5/13 £30
5/5/13 £80
5/6/13 £75
Sheet 2 - i need to calculate how much was paid in april, may june etc in the fields below
Col A Col B Col c etc
April May June
can anyone help please

the easiest and fastest way is to use a Pivot Table and group the dates by month.
