    HI, I have a quick question concerning combining two cells to create a new formula.
    In cell E5 I have a formula: =A1+B1+C1
    In cell F5 I have: -1
    I am looking for a formula that would give me the formula =A1+B1+C1-1 in cell G5 Thanks in advance!

    isn't that?

    =E5-F5

    or

    =A1+B1+C1-F5

    Sorry, let me clarify:

    I want the actual formula written out in cell G5 complete with an = in front of it so cell G5 would read:
    " =A1+b1+c1-1

    Unless you are using Excel 2013, it can't be done with regular formulas.

    in Excel2013, =FORMULATEXT(E5)&F5
