Why does deleting rows in excel97 reformat other rows in the sheet. I've just sorted out a new sheet and deleting rows of unwanted info reformats random rows in the sheet. any ideas???
 
Excel 97? Nobody uses that anymore, well maybe apart from yourself. Can't say I ever noticed it, and I don't have a copy to check either.
 
It's been years since I used 97, but I dont' recall it doing that at the time. Are you sure there isn't any macro code running in the worksheet module? Maybe a worksheet change event or something?

Do you have conditional formatting on the sheet? is the elastic band wound tight enough? :)
