Converting excel file to IIF File that Can be Uploaded to QuickBooks

My understanding is that an *.iif file is just a tab delimited file, although I've never seen one myself. Is there any way you'd be able to upload a copy of an iif file that works, and a copy of the excel file you're trying to convert? With the two I could probably figure out how to build an iif file on the fly for you.
