Hi,

I wish to highlight certain cells in a sheet dependent on a value I input into a cell.

I have tried using conditional formatting that works OK except when I use the number 1, cells that contain "1" are all highlighted eg 10, 11, 12 etc.

How can I fix this ??

Many thanks

Thanks Ali,

I am using "equal to" but still get highlighted cells that contain that single digit....

Sorry I should have been clearer - there are sometimes more than one number in the cell....

7,4,11,14

1

So I have a cell with 5 numbers in and I don't want it highlighted as there is no number "1" in it. However at present it gets highlighted due to the presence of 11 & 14
Can I fix this??

Thanks again

If you can post a picture it would be much easier to solve

All solved.

Thank you for your help.

Is there a way of marking this solved on the forum? I am only a beginner!
