what is autofilter field

What does autofilter field relate to in vba. I am trying to filter multiple columns of data and im not sure when it is a different field and when it is a different criteria. Can anyone help me understand what they both do/change?

Try recording macros of you filtering. Then check the macro script to see what happened.
