Site Changes

I am currently in the process of making changes to my site, and updating my blog is one of them.
I haven't blogged at all over the past few months, and a major reason for that is that my blog software broke during one of the forum upgrades. I've been trying to figure out if I should fix it or migrate the content to the blogging software that is built in to the vBulletin package that I use to manage the rest of the site. I've finally come to the conclusion that migration is exactly what I need to do. The unfortunate part is that there are a lot of entries there that I do not want to lose, so migration is going to take some time.
My wife has (been) volunteered to help me port the content. We'll be trying to preserve the original posting dates of the entries. I'm still trying to figure out if I should be creating user accounts and posting the comments under the names of the people who originally posted, or if I should just mark them all in as quotes. The latter would certainly be much easier, as I don't even know if I can get to the email addresses in order to register them.
Ultimately I'd like to move this blog URL back to the URL currently occupied by the current blog, so the URL for this one may not remain static.
Regardless, I'm hoping that this puts the final touch on the site integration, and that it will let me start blogging again. In addition, it should also allow others to start their own blogs here if they would like to.
I am going to try and upgrade the Feedburner feed for the blog to point here. So if you do get this via RSS, please post a comment to let me know.
(If you haven't registered for the site yet, you will need to do that and log in before you can post a comment.)
