View Full Version : Macros - Merging selected documents from a folder and converting it into consol PDF

Dear Team
I could see the macro for the open individual word documents converted to a consolidated PDF file. In the same way, for eg from the folder of 50 files without opening the documents, I would choose around selective 15 word documents and need to convert it into a single consolidated PDF. How could I find a Macro for this particular scenario.

Even a macro would have to open the files. You then have two options:
1. Copy the content from all the source files into a single destination file, then save that file as a PDF; or
2. Save all the source files as PDFs, then merge the PDFs afterwards.
Option 1 is fairly straightforward if all the files use the same page layouts & sizes, don't have headers, footers, footnotes, endnotes, numbered paragraphs, etc. but things can get very complicated if that's not so. Option 2 requires the use of 3rd-party software, such as Adobe Acrobat Pro.
