No Row totals in Pivot table

Hi,
I have encountered an issue where I cannot get a row total in a pivot. The table will readily insert/remove a column total, but not a row total.

A calculated field will not work as the desired fields may change.

Has anyone else encountered this issue?

Appreciate thoughts....
 
Could you please post a sample sheet on the forum ( no pics please)
Click - Go advanced - Manage attachments
 
Just to make sure - can you click somewhere in your pivot table and click the 'Design' tab

Then click the 'Grand Totals' button within the 'Layout' Group, and click 'On for Rows and Columns'

Does this solve the problem?

This is not really what I was looking for. My need is to add the total to a chart (graph), not to the table. I now see that the Excel wizard does not permit (account) for this need.
I ended up doing a calculated field for the total and inserting it into the chart.....
There is always a work around!
