Is there any way to sort by a Row Label and hide it? I need to create a pivot that looks like a financial statement. I am using the Outline and subtotals below format. I want to be able to force the order of my Revenue and Expense categories. I thought if I created a Column with the sort order that it would work and it does but I don't want to display it. Is there some other trick to force this type of format?

Revenue
- General
- Advertising
- Subscriptions

Expenses
- Wages & Benefits
- Direct Costs
- Other Expenses

Hi

Sorry I'm not aware of a way to do this if you're removing the field you're trying to sort on

You can always manually sort your categories by dragging them within the pivot table - since you only have 6 this is probably the easiest way to do this

GIF is correct with the data size you are looking at, if it gets bigger or you are using it frequently then consider add custom list (note order of table is auto sorted by the PVT.
