Excel data export from sharepoint

I have a report exported from Sharepoint. In one of the colums, there is. 3 or 4 digit number followed by a ;#, then the name. Example, 523;#Jones, angela. Next row 1425;#Doe,John. Is there a formula, find and replace, etc. I can enter to het rid of the number;#?

Perhaps Ctrl+H

Find what : ;#
Replace with: (leave blank)

Click Replace All

(if needed you can record this as a macro for further use)
