I am trying to create a simple time series for culmulative tonnage, the data I have is mainly covering a couple of days and each entry is timed by hours and minutes. After many attempts the best that I can arrive at are two charts, neither of which are really correct but seem to be the best that I can do, the charts are too large to send on the forum. I enclose a portion of the data the total of which is 105 lines long. I have also reversed the order of the columns and have date and hours and minutes in the time column The first will not give me a spread across the chart and so is not able to give an overall picture. The second chart (not shown) on the right gives a better view overall but shows a timeline in the chart but a horizontal axis which simply shows the number of data points
