Hide columns from client tools does not hide them

Hi,
when configuring a data model in power pivot, i set some of the columns to be hidden from client tools.
unfortunately, after doing this, when creating a pivot table or chart upon this model i expected to see only the columns that i left visible. instead i see all of the columns from all of the tables in the data model + all of the fields that were left visible in the data model .
