Bullet points and symbols not showing up correctly.

A friend of mine is saving xls/xslx files to csv and any instance of the registered "R", bullet point or the degrees symbol show up as ¥, », Á.

On another computer it works fine and another it does not. Using office 2011 for mac. I would guess this is something simple that we're missing but it's escaping me.

It could be down to language and keyboard settings, have you confirmed the keyboard, pc and dictionary languages are the same on both pc's
