Hello - I am trying to figure out how I can take the data I have in a normal excel spreadsheet and gather the span of control for my organziation. So for instance I have Manager 1 who has 12 direct reports of those 12 , 11 of them each have their own direct reports and so on. I need to build this so that I show the span of control for each person who has direct reports. Any idea on how to accomplish this?

Do you want to build an org chart? Or just have a table that shows the nested levels underneath? You can build an org chart using the SmartArt option. A pivottable will let you do the 2nd. I suggest you give Google a spin for more detailed instructions.
