hi there - i'm somewhat of a novice with excel and was looking for assistance to complete a contact list spreadsheet. i have a column for contact ID numbers (column A) and i'd like to automatically assign a number to each contact and include as a prefix the two letter state code in their address (state is column G). i imagine this is doable and somewhat easy, but my excel talents are limited. thanks for your assistance!

Insert a column after A and use
=H2&A2
=H2&A2
